Which promotional keychain fits each use?

The one people will carry every day. A keychain rides along with house and car keys for years, so feeling solid matters more than the unit price. These are the types we make and what each one is for:

• Metal bottle opener: the most useful of all, because it gets used, not just carried. It works for events, Father's Day, and beverage, restaurant, or neighborhood store brands.
• Metal: understated and durable, for clients and employees.
• Faux leather: soft with an executive look; comes boxed.
• Swivel: metal with a leather-look finish and a rotating piece. It feels different in the hand and comes boxed, in blue, black, red, or white.
• Wood: oval or combined with aluminum, with a laser-engraved logo. For brands with a natural or sustainable message.
• MDF: lightweight and free-form. It is not in our catalog as a keychain right now; see below for how to request it.

How much does a logo keychain cost?

From RD$290 for the metal bottle opener or the faux leather model, RD$307 for the metal keychain, RD$348 for the swivel model, and RD$363 for wood. These are reference prices before ITBIS (the Dominican sales tax), as of October 2026, and they change with quantity, method, and packaging.

All of them are ready 2 to 4 days after artwork approval, depending on the product page. Each product page shows an estimated minimum of one unit; the final minimum is confirmed in your quote based on method and packaging. Every model is in our corporate merchandise catalog.

What is an MDF keychain, and can you order one?

MDF is a board made of pressed wood fibers. It is lightweight, has a smooth surface, and can be cut into almost any shape, including your logo's outline, then sublimated in full color or engraved. Its weak spot is moisture: it handles water and wear less well than metal.

That makes it a good event keepsake or seasonal piece, and a weaker choice for a keychain carried daily for years. For that, metal or faux leather is the better pick.

We do not have an MDF keychain in our catalog right now; we use MDF for our ID tags, sublimated on both sides. If you want your keychain in MDF, ask for it in your quote with the shape, quantity, and date, and we will confirm whether it can be made and how long it takes.

Sublimated or laser engraved: what is the difference?

Sublimation prints the logo in full color; laser engraving marks it into the material in a single tone. According to the product pages, the metal and faux leather keychains are sublimated and the wooden ones are engraved.

• Sublimation: handles colors, gradients, and photos. It is the method for your full brand logo and for changing the name on every piece.
• Laser engraving: stays in the natural tone of the wood, looks understated, and does not rub off against keys.

Can each keychain carry a person's name?

Yes, and it is one of our most common requests. One client wrote: "We want a custom keychain with each employee's name, the company logo, and a phrase on the back."

1. Send the list of names in a spreadsheet, spelled exactly as they should print, with accents.
2. Settle on the phrase (the company motto, the year, or the occasion) and whether it goes on the back or the front.
3. Check the mockup with the longest name on the list. Space on a keychain is tight, so that name sets the font size for everyone. That is also where we confirm whether your chosen model has room for a phrase on the back or whether another one fits better.
4. If you want a phrase on the back, pick the model with care. According to the product pages, the faux leather and swivel keychains are sublimated on one side only; the wooden ones can be engraved on one side or both, at the same price.

How many keychains should you order for an event?

For a trade show or convention, estimate from the visitor traffic you expect and keep a better item for the contacts you really care about. Keychains are among the lowest-priced items per unit, so they work for high-volume giveaways.

For Father's Day, the bottle opener is a classic: there is a version with a holiday design in our Father's Day gifts. Watch July, our busiest month: confirm artwork and quantity early. If the keychains go into a kit or exceed 100 pieces for an event, plan at least 15 business days ahead.

How we handle your keychain order at Lemon

Our median order is 15 units, and half of all orders fall between 4 and 50, so an order of named keychains for a small team is completely normal. This is how we handle it:

1. Brief: model or use, quantity, list of names if any, phrase, date, and delivery location.
2. Quote within 24–48 hours, with a mockup and an itemized price: keychain, branding, and packaging.
3. Artwork approval, with the longest name already in place.
4. Production in 2 to 4 days and piece-by-piece quality control: a secure ring, a sharp logo, and every name checked against your list.
5. Packing and delivery to one location, per person, or per site.

A mistake we see often: choosing a keychain on price alone, only for the ring or chain to come loose in the first week. That keychain is not neutral: it ends up in the trash with your logo on it. That is why we check the ring on every piece before packing.
