Corporate gift boxes: what they are and how to build one that impresses

What is a corporate gift box?

It is a gift box with two or more items carrying your company's brand, presented together and ready to hand over. What sets it apart from a loose gift is the presentation: the box, the interior, the card, and the item layout get as much thought as the items themselves.

In the DR it goes by several names: gift box, corporate box, gift set. They mean the same thing. A kit is different: a kit is defined by who it is for (new hires, an event, a client), and a gift box by how it is presented. That is why many kits are delivered as gift boxes. What goes in a corporate gift box?

Six parts. Everyone notices the first two; the other four are what make the box memorable:

1. The items: two to four, almost always something to drink from (tumbler, insulated cup, or mug) and something to write with (notebook and pen).
2. The branding: laser engraving on bamboo and steel, UV printing on pens and notebooks, sublimation on mugs.
3. The box: rigid, black or white and sometimes with a magnetic closure, for clients and executives; kraft for a more natural look.
4. The interior: crinkle paper or an insert with a slot for each item, so nothing shifts in transit.
5. The closure: a satin ribbon.
6. The card: a dedication or a welcome message with the company name. Some sets also carry the name or logo on the outside of the box.

How much does a corporate gift box cost?

From RD$712 per unit in Lemon's catalog, reference price before ITBIS tax as of October 2026; three- and four-item boxes run RD$1,688 to RD$4,380, and sets with gourmet food or liquor go above that range. How do you build a gift box that impresses?

The box that impresses is the one that feels made for the person opening it, not the fullest one. These five rules matter most:

1. Pick three items used every day. Something to drink from, something to write with, and a third one for the person: a USB drive for someone who travels, a keychain or mug for the team.
2. Make the items match. All bamboo, all steel, or all black. A box with clashing materials looks thrown together at the last minute.
3. A restrained logo and the recipient's name. Laser engraving on bamboo and steel looks refined and does not wear off. The recipient's name on one item is what people remember most.
4. Mind what shows when the lid comes off. Crinkle paper or an insert for each item, a neat ribbon, and the card on top. It is the first thing the recipient sees.
5. Write the card. One specific sentence signed by someone at the company beats generic copy. Some welcome sets already include "Welcome to the family" with your company name.

Can one gift box work for a whole campaign?

Yes, and that is where it pays off most: one box design for the whole campaign, with contents adjusted by tier. Key clients and the team get the same brand presentation, and the budget goes where it matters.

How long does a corporate gift box take?

Catalog boxes are ready in 2 to 4 days from artwork approval, depending on the item. If you swap items, need special packaging, or order in volume, it is planned as a full project.

July is our busiest month, because of Father's Day (the last Sunday of July in the DR), followed by November and December for Christmas. If your box is for those dates, order early.

A mistake we see often: approving the box from the catalog photo without seeing the mockup with your logo. A logo with very thin lettering or gradients does not engrave the same on bamboo as on steel. In the mockup we tell you whether to adjust it before production, not after.
